Me?
As long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with shapes, proportion and color. Although all of those components have changed and morphed over time, the basic love of those elements has persisted. Currently, my work using those elements has evolved into something flavored with minimalism, palettes that are deep and rich in desaturated colors. Whether I'm creating corporate branding or my own endeavors, this is exactly what I would do given any other options.
What do I want to say with my art?
I'm interested in the stories that lay under the stories we tell everyone else. The raw, unvarnished part of a person, object or situation. I want to expose the real, the hidden, the deeper meaning using shapes, masks and flowing color strokes. I love working in digital media, manipulating it to be more random which is counter to its creation.
Influences: Stuart Davis, Jon Flaming, Willem de Kooning, Pamela Zagarenski, Chagall, and Gabriele Munter among others.
